Institutionalized

Last month I had the fantastic opportunity to work with En Masse on a part of the exhibit that's just opened at the Museum of Fine Arts in Montreal. The show is called Big Bang and runs until January 22, 2012.

Basically, they gave us a whole giant museum room to do whatever we wanted on the walls, working within the theme of drawing inspiration from a work from the museum's collection. More info on the show here: http://www.mbam.qc.ca/BIGBANG/splashpage_fr.html

I'm most excited about being in a group show with MELISSA AUF DER MAUR YES. Although her time in Hole was not my favorite of the band's, she was proof to me growing up that a girl from Montreal could have BIG DREAMS.

Here are a couple of details of a recent En Masse wall I participated in, taken with my mini handy cam. It's in the studio at Musique Plus, which is like the Much Music or MTV of Quebec. They played sooo much System Of a Down and Jean Leloup while we drew. Better photos later! enmasse.info

Secret Police 7"

Zachary Fairbrother from Lanterns told me that I could do pretty much whatever I wanted for this one. It was pretty easy, because their music is really sexy and rock and roll and they've got this cool guy/girl thing going on.
